Job Summary

The Pre Sales Consultant coordinates technical pre-sales activities. He/she technical and product knowledge to customers via good written, verbal and presentation skills. Assists in all levels of technical account planning. The Pre Sales Consultant supports the successful achievement of sales targets by analyzing the technical needs and proving products’ ability to deliver the IT solutions proposed to prospects or existing customers.

Resposibilities and Duties

Work individually or in teams to deliver projects for global clients, and be responsible, with minimal supervision to:

  • Independently liaise with customers and convincingly present solutions – especially in an unstructured and ever-changing client environment. Be able to independently question the customer, when required
  • Gather business requirements from client stakeholders via interactions like interviews and workshops
  • Understand customer needs and translate them to business requirements (business requirement definition), business process flows and functional requirements –thereby acting as an interface between business and technology teams
  • Ability to understand the as-is process; understand issues with the processes which can be resolved either through technology or process solutions and design detail level to-be process with all stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze data and determine key trends and develop appropriate and relevant recommendations for the client
  • Understanding of how cloud-based applications are delivered and consumed
  • Understand of unique feature and challenges of SaaS applications
  • Exceptional critical thinking skills is a plus.

Qualification and Skills

  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication
  • Prior experience working for a US-based company and providing email, chat, and voice support to US customers is preferred
  • Experience working in customer support in the SaaS industry is preferred
  • Strong familiarity with popular CRM tools such as Zoho, ZenDesk, SalesForce, etc.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office (especially MS Excel) and spreadsheets.
  • Proven customer support experience or experience as a client service representative
  • Customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different types of characters
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • Flexible approach, able to operate effectively with uncertainty and change
  • Driven, self-motivated, enthusiastic and with a “can do” attitude
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams
  • Comfortable in a startup environment and wear many hats in a dynamic environment
